We often get phone calls for animal control which means different things to different people. For us animal control is the removal and exclusion of wildlife including: raccoons, squirrels, skunks and others. For the general public it often means the capture and removal of stray domestic animals mostly cats and dogs. The main difference is wildlife belongs outside and not in your home while domestic animals belong either in your home or outside with you.
Unfortunately for domestic animals we can’t offer any type of animal control. We can however provide you with the information for the correct people to call. Most cities have an animal control section of the city. This is where you take your pets to get registered and they can lay a fine if your animal is out depending on the city bylaws. If you have found a cat or dog that appears to be a stray (is un-kept and doesn’t have a collar) then the humane society is the best place to call.
